Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

Playcall (“Playcall,” “we,” “us”) is a team-management and player-development platform for esports programs, most often run by schools. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Playcall is used within a program, and your program's coaches and administrators manage the program you belong to.

Information we collect

Account information: your email address, a password (stored only in a securely hashed form we never see), your display name, and your unique handle.

Profile information you choose to add: a profile photo, a short bio, graduation year, the games you play with your in-game name, rank, and roles, and any links you add.

Program activity: the teams and rosters you belong to, events and your availability responses, match results and per-player stats your coaches record, film-review notes, playbook entries, and room usage.

Discord (optional):if you choose to link your Discord account, we store your Discord user ID and username so your program's roles can be assigned automatically. We never receive your Discord password, and we ask Discord only for your basic identity - not the ability to post or act as you.

Technical information: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept by our hosting providers to operate and secure the service.

School-interest form (no account needed):if you fill in the “want this at your school?” form on our home page, we collect only the first name and school name you enter. We use it for one purpose: showing schools how many of their students are interested in an esports program. It creates no account and is not linked to any account you make later.

How we use information

We use this information to run the service you signed up for: to create your account, show your program's schedule and rosters, record and display team activity, deliver reminders and invitations, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Students and minors

Many Playcall programs are school programs whose players are students under 18. We collect only the information needed to run an esports program, and a player's program activity is visible within their own program - not to the public. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate school or parental consent. If you believe a student under 13 has created an account without that consent, contact us at support@playcall.gg and we will address it.

Where a school uses Playcall to maintain student records, the school directs how that information is used, and we act on the school's behalf. Schools with questions about student-data agreements should contact us.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us operate Playcall, each acting on our instructions:

  • Supabase - database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Vercel - application hosting.
  • Resend - sending invitation and account emails.
  • Discord - only if you link your Discord account.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account exists - so that you and your program keep access to your history, and so you can look back on your esports career later. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information and program activity tied to it, except where we must retain limited records to comply with the law.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile information at any time from your account. You can unlink Discord from your settings. You can delete your account and its associated data from your account settings; a program administrator can also remove a member from a program without deleting that member's account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your information - contact us to exercise them.

Security

We use reputable providers and standard safeguards - encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls that limit each program's data to that program - to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Playcall grows. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top, and significant changes will be communicated within the app.
